Dr. Olivia Hart is a board-certified biological dentist, offering general, reconstructive, and cosmetic dental care for patients of all ages in or near Glen Allen, VA. She brings years of experience and a wealth of in-depth knowledge to every appointment, making sure to care for the total patient and not just treating individual symptoms. Dr. Hart is a member of several key organizations in her field, including the IABDM, ADA, HDA, IAOMT, RDS, VDA, AAIP, and ICOI. In addition to being SMART certified Dr. Hart is also an accredited member of IAOMT in the comprehensive application of biological dentistry. In addition to regular practice and work with patients, she pursues her continued education, striving to stay up-to-date on the most technologically advanced treatments while keeping everything grounded in her central philosophy of biological dentistry. For Dr. Hart, biological dentistry means offering treatments that go beyond treating single problems. Instead, she focuses on each patient’s systemic wellness.
Dr. Hart understands the vital connection between a healthy mouth and a healthy body. Good oral hygiene and quality dental care can profoundly impact the overall health of the rest of your body. For this reason, Dr. Hart always takes a biological approach, using a variety of biocompatible materials, including mercury-free techniques and non-metal fillings. She relies on special bio-sensitivity testing to make sure she uses the best possible materials for you, based on your unique physiology.
Dr. Hart grew up around dentists—her grandparents both worked in the dental profession, inspiring her at an early age to pursue the practice of helping patients achieve wellness and comfort through healthy oral hygiene. After receiving her master’s degree in linguistics, which taught her the importance of communication and education, she traveled the world for several years, coming to understand the value and impact of biological medicine. She brings all of this information and experience to her dental practice in Glen Allen, VA.
She followed up her master’s with a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry (Cum Laude) and a Doctorate in Dentistry (with honors) from Virginia Commonwealth University. She’s also completed a doctorate program in naturopathy, giving her the skill necessary to bring a comprehensive, biological dental care approach to her work.
Dr. Hart constantly expands her knowledge in biological dentistry by continuing to follow education courses and training that benefit her patients.
Dr. Hart believes family-work balance is key to our physical and mental health.
